I'm not sure whether this is a small tree or a large bush, but I"ve never seen one like this. So when I saw it yesterday working I made sure I took my camera out there today and took a picture of it. I pasted a picture of the blooms in the right hand corner so you can see them better. The flowers on it look like carnations. But I really don't know what it is. If anyone knows please tell me, my wife and I'd like to know. Maybe we could plant one in our yard also.

Thanks Penny for the info. I did finally find out what this tree is. It's a Japanese cherry, sometimes called a Kwanzan Flowering Cherry. It's the first time I had ever seen one. Also yesterday saw them in a local discount store called Rural King selling them for around $20. And guess what? My wife wants one in the back yard, ha ha. Here's a link to a nursery online with a picture of one and the description of it.
Hope you have a good weekend Penny and Kevin too :-)
