I thought this was interesting. As I was driving thru the countryside I saw this. It appears to be a trough to water cattle or horses carved out of the local rock. Also behind this is a cistern to collect water. Just thought it was unusual.

I was at Duck River Wildlife Refuge at sunset and took this picture. There's even a duck flying just to the right of center of the picture. It was a pretty day, but cool. Around 50 degrees.

I was driving out in the countryside a few days ago and ran across this unusual site. Someone living next to this spring had put a pump house into the rock and was pumping the water out of it into their house. If you look really close on the rock just above the water you can see a dipper hanging on the rock. Guess someone regularly drinks from the spring. Anyway looks like an economical way to get some good water basically free.

Here's something you don't see everyday. These guys were dragging cut trees to the road to be loaded on a truck. They posed nicely for me.
